Brexit Travel Assessment Tool

Stay Compliant With a Dedicated Brexit Assessment Tool

With Brexit finally done and dusted, UK nationals will have to re-evaluate how they travel around the continient and how this impacts their plans. Under the current rules, you will be able to stay in an EU country for up to 90 days, in a 180 day period, visa free. This applies primarily to tourist, those visiting family and friends, and those travelling for business purposes. However, 'business purposes' is restricted to basic business activity such as meetings, conferences and discussions.

Any activity outside of this, regardless of the period of stay – whether it be 1 day or 90 days – could potentially require a work permit. Each of the EU member states have their own set of rules and parameters as to what activity can be done visa-free and what would require a work permit. For example, fitting IT equipment, attending sales events, having an EMEA job role that requires you to lead a team in the EU, or engineering, to name but a few types of activity, may require a work permit to be issued before you can travel.

ACE Travel Management have access to the CIBT Post-Brexit Travel Assessment, a comprehensive and cost-effective tool for organisations concerned about compliant business travel between the United Kingdom and Europe.

  • An easy-to-use web-based solution
  • Available 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Offered in English and most major European languages
  • Quick and easy one-off payments

Convenient and quick to complete, the assessment asks each traveller carefully-researched and constantly-updated questions about their activities while in their destination.

The tool delivers results within seconds of submission, with each individual assessment taking an average of 4 minutes from start to finish.

If you're concerned that your business travel may not be EU visa compliant, be sure to use our quick assessment tool.

Support Letter for Greater Peace of Mind

If your travel qualifies as a Business Visitor then the Post-Brexit Travel Assessment offers guidance on the documents they should carry. It also creates a bespoke Support Letter that they may use to facilitate entry to the chosen destination. If the traveller requires a consultation, then a Post-Brexit advisor will contact the applicant on the same day to schedule a one-to-one conversation about his or her activities. After the conversation, the consultant may recommend that the traveller obtain a Work Permit or Work Permit Exemption. Documentation and assistance can be provided on all these steps if required.
